Scope and Contents
This series consists of the correspondence received from the Archbishops of Baltimore from the time of John Carroll through the administration of William Borders, whose age required resignation in 1989. Most involve decisions regarding permissions for special liturgies or devotions or rescripts regarding vows; they also include notes of gratitude for prayer and donations, congratulations or advice giving.
