Mentions Francis Dzierozynski SJ; poor health of Fr. Wm FX O'Brien;, new novices, Martha and Aloysia, and candidate suggested by Fr. Dzierozynski, from Lancaster, PA (Maria Lechleitner) as lay sister (she doesn't become professed). 9/14/1830: "weighty concerns...the many inconveniences of our removal, the fear of being in debt, the disposial (sic) of our poor servants, above all the thought of having a school, for which we find ourselves quite inadiquate (sic), our educations in general being so very limited that I feel at times much discouraged;..." Seeks advice.
