Scope and Contents
This series consists of the devotional cards, pictures, and graphic designs that provided context for the exercise of devotion in the Carmelite monastery of Baltimore. They range from small cards in Dutch, French, and Latin, some dating back to the eighteenth century, and commemorating saints of the order, missionary saints, such as St. Ignatius Loyola and Francis Xavier, and the Holy Family. They also include more artistic depictions of the life and passion of Jesus (e.g., Five Stations of the Cross), as well as aspects of the life of the Blessed Mother or St. Joseph.
