Scope and Contents

A printed copy of the Bona Mors Book, published in Baltimore by Lucas Brothers, first in 1846, used originally by S. Angela (Josephine) Dyer, dated 1/24/1864, as member of St Patrick Congregation, Washington, D.C. with J.A.Walter as Director. Also includes the Devotion to the Three Hours of Agony, by R.F.Alphonso Messia, SJ, originally composed at Lima, Peru, in Spanish. (Supplement). 128pp. This book was among the papers of Sister Josephine Keenan (died 9/16/1974). Bona Mors was referred to as "A Pious Association of the Devout Servants of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary: To obtain a Good Death."
