Riot, 1839, role;Gildea, Eccleston, Deluol,O'Brien, Butler; mob dispersed. guarded for 3 weeks; "...it is impossible to conceive the fatigue, anxiety, and labor of the Nuns." Two Sisters passed through the mob both day and night to assist and comfort us...no expense... Brook, SJ, legacy, $1000; $850, Schriber; 1848, hot water in kitchen; hot and cold in breakfast room. Harper & Donnel 12/20/1850, close of school, "to our great job but much to the regrets of the public. We have a large and respectable school at the time, the scene was very affecting." No provision for support, but miraculous help; 1850 Rose Sellman...her bequests and gifts. 1853, realize $1569.87+; 1852, Miss E.Harper, rooms for "our servant man." 1854, gas light; 1855, Antwerp sends Book of Customs, Brev/ Book of Order, Holy Week
