Scope and Contents
Official correspondence between Chancellor Joseph Nelligan and Mother Mary Magdalen, and including authorization and correspondence of Sister Mary of Christ, at Jaro Carmel, transferring three nuns from Baltimore (at most). Nelligan expresses the Bishop's concern re: depletion of nuns at Baltimore, sufficiency of finances to handle transfer of $2,000 each dowries plus $5,000. Is satisfied through correspondence of Mother Mary Magdalen. On her part, Sister Mary of Christ names transferring members and includes Mother Mary Magdalen Brunck and Sister Mary Joseph Daly; Henry Greer, SJ, Executive Secretary of Catholic Welare Organization, Philippines authorizes issuance of visas to same.
